A New Wideband Closed-Form Green's Function for Microstrip Structures Using Hybrid Taguchi-Gradient Optimization Method

A new wideband closed-form Green's function for Microstrip structures is presented. A hybrid Taguchi-gradient based technique is used to find two-dimensional complex images of Green’s functions of microstrip structures. The closed-form Green’s function is valid over wide range of frequencies and regions. The numerical results are verified by comparison with the rigorous numerical integration of Sommerfeld integrals.
